Grade ist noch Zeit genug, einen genugda-Post in dieses 2025 reinzuquetschen. Das Jahr auf genugda.de fing stark an, damals im Januar, um dann mindestens ebenso stark nachzulassen. Konsequent kann ich. Und jetzt bloß keine Ursachensuche!
Sich rar zu machen kann den Wert steigern. Aber: Das mag für Schallplatten und Antimaterie gelten, hier im Netz läuft das genau anders herum. Ist wohl nicht mein Ding.
Immerhin, genugda ist seit gut siebzehn(!) Jahren online: Mal aktiv berichtend über Dies und Spaß, mal passiv in den Sphären der Bits und Gigabytes vor sich hinsimmernd. Egal, kommen wir zu:

The year on genugda.de started strong back in January – and then, well, it relaxed considerably. Consistency, my thing. No root-cause analysis here please.
Playing hard to get can increase value. That may be true for vinyl records and antimatter. On the internet, however, the opposite seems to apply. Probably not my natural habitat.
Still, genugda has been online for good seventeen (!) years now. Sometimes actively reporting on this and that, sometimes quietly glowing somewhere between all other bits and bytes. But on to the point.
Mein Vorhaben
… ist nicht neu, aber ich hab da mal Lust zu, das ein Jahr lang durchziehen. Und sei es nur, um meinen Durchhaltemuskel zu trainieren. Womit?
My plan
… which is not new, but I feel like actually doing it. For a whole year. If nothing else, to train my endurance muscle. Doing what exactly?
Die Idee
Ich suche mir in den nächsten Tagen in meiner Umgebung einen Bildausschnitt. Den fotografiere ich dann an ganz vielen Tagen im Jahr 2026.

Für mich reicht dieses „ungefähr“. Aber das ist typbedingt. Es wird Charaktere geben, die Stativbeine irgendwo markieren, den Kamerawinkel aufschreiben und jeden Tag 17:15 Uhr vor Ort sind. Das ist natürlich ziemlich genial, besonders für das Endergebnis! Ich weiß nur, bei mir klappt das niemals. Daher werd ich das so aus dem Lamäng heraus gestalten, Pi mal Daumen, grob kongruent, ihr wisst schon.
The idea

“More or less” is perfectly sufficient for me. That’s a personality thing. There will be people who mark tripod positions, note down camera angles and show up every day at precisely 5:15 pm. Which is brilliant, especially for the final result! But I just know myself well enough, that’s not going to happen with me. Freestyle is my style.
Warum?
Weil ich es kann, rein theoretisch.
Weil ich gespannt bin, ob ich das in der Praxis durchhalte.
Weil ich neugierig auf die Gesamtschau am Ende bin.
Weil Zeit Veränderung ist.
Das ist wahrlich keine neue Idee, schon klar. Stichwort Zeitrafferaufnahmen im Mikro- und Makrobereich. Ich habe so etwas jedoch noch nie gemacht, also ist das eine neue Erfahrung für mich. Macht wer mit?
Ich wäre da schon neugierig auf den ein- oder anderen Jahresverlauf, auf die ausgewählten Motive.
Der abstrakte Zeitbegriff wird konkret durch Veränderung. Ungeduldige können sich dafür natürlich auch vor eine analoge Uhr mit Sekundenzeiger setzen oder eben der viel zitierten Farbe beim Trocknen zusehen. Aber wo bleibt da die Challenge?
Why?
Because I can. At least in theory.
Because I want to see if I’ll last in the practice.
Because I’m curious about the overview at the end.
Because time is change.
Yes, this isn’t a groundbreaking idea. Time-lapse photography in micro and macro formats has been around forever. But I’ve never done anything like this myself, which makes it new enough for me. Anyone want to join?
I’d genuinely love to see other year-long visual timelines and the motifs one choose.
The abstract concept of time becomes tangible through change. If you’re impatient, you can of course sit in front of an analog clock and watch the second hand, or observe paint drying. But where’s the challenge in that?
Mach mit!
Idealerweise werde ich mir wohl einen Ausschnitt in der Natur suchen. Ein Baum, ein Gewässer, so was in der Art. Wer in der Stadt wohnt, der fotografiert vielleicht eine Häuserzeile mit Geschäften, eine Straßenkreuzung, ein bestimmtes Geschäft, etc.
Wer ständig unterwegs ist, könnte sich selbst jeweils vor (oder nach) der Morgenroutine im Bad aufnehmen, sein morgendliches Frühstück, sein Haustier, das Kind, die Oma, eine Topfpflanze, den Apfelbaum oder das Nachttischchen.
Dieses Motiv gilt es dann 2026 diszipliniert an mindestens 150 bis 200 Tagen (je mehr desto besser) zur ungefähr gleichen Tageszeit zu fotografieren. Lege einen entsprechenden Ordner an, wo du die Fotos alle abspeicherst.

I’ll probably choose something from nature: a tree, a body of water, something like that.
City dwellers might go for a row of shops, a street corner, a specific storefront.
If you’re always on the move, you could photograph yourself before (or after) your morning routine in the bathroom. Or your breakfast. Your pet. Your child. Your grandmother. A houseplant. An apple tree. Or your bedside table.
Pick one motif and photograph it in 2026 on at least 150–200 days (the more, the better), at roughly the same time of day. Create a dedicated folder to collect your images there.
Nach einem Jahr
Spätestens Anfang 2027 melde dich mal, wenn du magst. Dann schauen wir uns unsere unterschiedlichen Zeitspuren mal an.
